The Benefits

Conflict is a natural in the workplace, particularly where employees are in an environment where they are closely working together. The variety of personality types, differing opinions and often backgrounds can lead to disagreements on how to handle work projects as a team. While some people choose to avoid conflict, others don’t,but ideally all should use conflict management skills to resolve the situations that arise.

Poorly managed conflict often causes friction between colleagues and this can cause wider issues in the organisation damaging working relationships. Conflict resolution skills allows resolution of conflict in a professional and respectful way often resulting a stronger working relationship. Instead of ill feeling, insults or worse, the skills enable everyone involved to work through the disagreement.

Training employees and yourself on conflict management provides beneficial skills for the business and develops a culture without escalating conflict.

People Risk Evaluation

A people risk evaluation is a proactive process to identify the specific problems behind concerns within the workforce.  Given that the majority of staff would prefer to ‘suffer in silence’ rather than raise a grievance this process enables opportunities to hear the problems and identify the issues and implement an effective solution.  Conflict Masters work with you and your staff to bring insight and expertise that enables you to identify and tackle behaviours in your organisation that pose legal or ethical risks and damage staff engagement.

  • Are your leaders modelling positive and appropriate behaviours that enable staff to thrive?
  • Is staff feedback, or your engagement survey, highlighting concerns about the culture of your organisation which you need to understand in more detail and address?
  • Are you concerned that some behaviour could expose your organisation to reputation risk or legal action?
  • How confident are you that all staff feel safe and fully able to contribute to your organisation?
  • Do you see an increasing number or emerging pattern of complaints and grievances around bullying, harassment or unfair treatment?

  • Giving ‘a voice’ to staff who feel unable to speak out and fear that their concerns aren’t going to be taken seriously
  • Provision of guidance and recommendations about action to address concerns and make positive changes
  • Options for a full and confidential report and presentation to senior leaders
  • Support to implement changes and monitor progress
  • Independent, impartial and confidential assessment that highlights and clarifies areas of potential damage and risk in your workforce.

  • Step 1 – Executive consultation
  • Step 2 – Audit and Preparation
  • Step 3 – one to one interviewing, focus groups etc
  • Step 4 – Analysis and recommendations preparation
  • Step 5 – Presentation of findings to executive team
  • Step 6 – Implementation and progress monitoring
