Workshop Programme

Busec’s workshop delivery is a condensed way of gaining a CIPD qualification. This is a structured route which is designed to give you the essential knowledge to work in HR or L&D.

We offer different Workshop programmes at each of the levels as follows:

Foundation Level 3

You have a choice of completing a Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Practice or a Foundation Certificate in Learning and Development. This is a structured programme of workshops allowing you to complete the qualification in under 12 months and gain Associate Membership of the CIPD.

Intermediate Level 5

If you are thinking about undertaking a Level 5 qualification this programme is an introduction to study at that level and you will achieve either a stand alone qualification in Employment Law or Employee Engagement. This then can contribute to a Certificate or Diploma at this level with the completion of additional units.

Advanced Level 7

If you are interested in gaining an Advanced qualification, you might consider taking just one module as a taster. We currently offer Managing Employee Relations and Leadership and Management Development. On completion you will have achieved a CIPD Award. To continue your studies, you may transfer to our distance learning programme to complete a certificate or diploma.

    L3 Foundation – Collaborative learning within a structured time-frame, for classroom-based, guided peer learning. Time-bound and condensed, a great start for people just beginning their HR and L&D qualifications.

    L5 Intermediate Award Workshops  – Opportunity to try one unit at Level 5 to either claim as a stand-alone subject specialist qualification or to make a start on the full qualification if you are unsure about returning to study.
  • null
    L7 Advanced Award Workshops – Opportunity to try one module at Advance Level. This provides a good way to achieve post-graduate level specialisation in a specific subject without having to make a long-term commitment. It may also serve as the starting point from which to complete a full Masters level qualification in the future.

WHAT THIS INCLUDES

The knowledge element of the programme is delivered in a series of workshops, you will complete parts of the required work in the workshops with a clear plan of what remains for you to do and a submission date to complete your work by. You have the support of your workshop tutor via email following the workshop.

Level 5 Top Up and Taster Workshops

Top Up

This course will enable you to upgrade your CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management to CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management.

Taster

If you have a Level 3 Certificate in Human Resource Practice it will result in you being part qualified at Level 5, which is a beneficial addition to your CV. To get the full qualification you will have to complete a number of further Level 5 units in a way that suits you.

You’ll learn in a group environment during two, one-day workshops held at our training venue in Petersfield.

For the 6-weeks following a workshop you will complete an assignment, submitting one draft (if you wish) and a final version. Once this has been received, you’ll receive personal feedback from your tutor.

The same tutor will work with you throughout this course and will be available throughout for support via email or telephone.

Level 7 Taster Workshops

If you have a Level 5 Certificate or Diploma in Human Resource Management completing the Level 7 Taster Module will result in you being able to claim a stand-alone qualification in either Managing Employment Relations or Leadership and Management Development.

Coaching and Mentoring Award

The ILM Level 3 Qualification in Coaching is delivered by our Associate Wendy Strohm who has a centre approved to deliver ILM qualifications.

The Coaching Award involves 3 workshops and an element of practical within your workplace to achieve the qualification in 3 months.

Once completed you have the option to continue your study to a Certificate or Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring.

  • 27/28 March 2018 (ending on 17 May 2018)
  • 12/13 Sept 2018 (ending on 22 Nov 2018)
