Rules of Combination for CIPD Intermediate Qualifications

Intermediate Award
A free choice of units from the tables above with a minimum of 3 and a maximum  of 12 credits.

Intermediate Level Certificate in Human Resource  Development – Requires 32 Credits
All core units and 18 credits from optional units; this must include 12 credits from 5HRD, 5MDN, 5DCM, 5KNM, 5MHR, 5ODS, 5ODV, 5HRS and 6 credits from 5RTP, 5RWM, 5IOP, 5EEG, 5CER, 5ELW.

Intermediate Level Diploma in Human Resource  Development – Requires 44 credits
All core units (this includes 5MHR as a core unit) and 24 credits from optional units; this must include 18 credits from 5HRD, 5MDN, 5DCM, 5KNM, 5ODS, 5ODV, 5HRS and 6 credits from 5RTP, 5RWM, 5IOP, 5EEG, 5CER, 5ELW.

Intermediate Level Certificate in Human Resource Management – Requires 32 credits
All core units and 18 credits from optional units; this must include 12 credits from 5RTP, 5RWM, 5IOP, 5EEG, 5CER, 5ELW, 5MHR, 5ODS, 5ODV, 5HRS and 6 credits from 5HRD, 5MDN, 5DCM, 5KNM.
