Chris O’Sullivan

Associate Member CIPD

Chris’ first career was in IT, providing technological support to HR professionals and pensions specialists.  This proved to be a stepping stone to her subsequent employment in the provision of HR services to consultancies servicing a number of UK and international clients.  She has had the opportunity to experience a wide spectrum of HR activities and has specialised in learning and development, selection and recruitment and assessment.  She was appointed Board Director of GBS a major training consultancy, responsible for managing the design and development of training events and for quality control.

Chris has assisted significant numbers of individuals and cohorts of candidates to attain the standards required for their professional qualifications.  She has specialised in qualifications accredited by the CIPD and the CMI.  She has facilitated groups of learners in commercial organisations, charities and the public sector.  Her work has taken her all over the UK and Europe as well as the Middle East, and she enjoys the challenge of working with individuals from multi-cultural backgrounds.

Prior to starting work Chris studied for a BA in French and MA.  In 2000 she qualified as an MBA while managing a full-time job, a home and a family.  This has given her valuable insights into the trials of studying for a professional qualification while juggling with other commitments.  She enjoys coaching and mentoring others, and facilitating their professional development.
