From 2010 Busec will be offering the CIPD's new competency based certificate programmes.
Most personnel and training practitioners are aware of the certificate in personnel practice (CPP) and certificate in training practice (CTP). These qualifications are very popular and are often seen as the foundation for a career in HR. Up to now they have only been available through the taught route at colleges and other centres.
The CIPD are developing a suite of new qualifications including one at foundation level which replaces the current certificate programmes which can be delivered using a competence based approach. This is an exciting development as it enables new and experienced practitioners to gain certification by demonstrating their competence in their role.
The foundation certificate is made up of a combination of optional and mandatory units; providing candidates with an element of choice. The full programme consists of six to eight units; you do have the option of undertaking part programme and completing fewer units.
Assessment is by review of evidence and assignments presented by the candidates. Busec uses a secure on-line assessment tool, e-portfolio, which removes the need for candidates to produce bulky paper based portfolios.
Busec offers
The fee for the full certificate programme is £1500 +VAT, this includes

-
