The qualifications are competence based. This means that NVQs are suitable for anyone who has appropriate practical experience and knowledge of a subject and who can provide evidence that they can perform a range of relevant activities in the workplace. The levels range from level 3 e.g. Team Leader to level 4 Strategic Manager. For example an NVQ level 4 in Learning & Development would be appropriate for a training practitioner. For details of the Learning and Development NVQ's we offer click the link to NVQ awards and units Not all candidates may want to undertake a full NVQ, or one of the set Certificate programmes designed by CIPD. In these circumstances they can choose a "cluster" of units and achieve a certificate to show competence in specific areas. These units can be "banked" and added to at a later date enabling the person to achieve the full NVQ over a period of time. This approach enables the employee to develop their competence appropriate to their work experience and reduces costs for the employer. See link to CIPD website. How will it work?A member of the Busec team will respond to your initial enquiry and will provide information about the qualification. They will explain the process and answer any questions. The next stage will be to meet for a diagnostic interview; this does not incur any cost or commitment but is part of the fact finding process and will enable an adviser to map your experience to the NVQ standards and give you personal advice about your best options. When you are ready to go ahead you will meet with your Lead Assessor for a start up meeting when you will complete the CIPD's NVQ registration form.
