On the basis of research with employers the CIPD have launched a new qualifications and membership structure to reflect the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed in todays workplace.  For information on these see the CIPD HR Profession Map.  The format and content of these qualifications offer greater flexibility to learners and to centres and will meet the requirements of the new Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) facilitating transfer of credits between qualifications.

The structure of the new CIPD qualifications allows HR professionals to be assessed through demonstrating workplace competence.  This involves providing work based evidence as well as assignments that demonstrate the pratical application of your knowledge and skills.

Busec is one of the first centres to gain approval from the CIPD to offer these new qualifications at Foundation and Advanced level.  We will be using a blended learning approach with our e-portfolio.

Services we provide  include

• Professional Assessment of Competence a fast-track route to chartered membership of the CIPD registration is available until end December 2010.
• and Management and Learning and Development NVQ's.
• Foundation Qualifications (A foundation certificate and diploma in HR and L&D Practice that replace the CPP and CTP and is explained above).  We offer these on a competency assessment basis.
• Advanced Certificate and Diploma (this replaces the Professional Development Scheme).
• Business Management and career coaching.
• Bite-sized endorsed ILM training courses.
• Bespoke Training

All our qualifications can be completed via our on-line assessment tool e-portfolio.

In addition to these programmes we offer business, management and career coaching.

Benefits of CIPD qualifications include a competitive edge when applying for jobs.  Over 75% of HR vacancies advertised stipulate that applicants must be CIPD qualified and research has shown that there are direct links between membership of a professional institue and increased earnings.
