One to One Meetings

One to one meetings with your assessor-coach are held at a venue of your choice; this could be your workplace, a mutually convenient hotel or café, or the Busec office in Petersfield.

At your first one to one meeting your assessor-coach will discuss with you the timescale in which you plan to complete your qualification this will then help you and the assessor to agree the deadline for individual units/ modules which will enable you to achieve your overall completion target.

You will complete a learning agreement which is in effect a contract between Busec and you, the learner. This sets out what you can expect Busec to deliver and what our expectations are of you, as a learner. At this meeting you will also discuss the order in which you complete the units/modules and begin to select your optional units/modules.

Your assessor-coach will discuss and agree the overall approach which is most suitable for your circumstances i.e. if you are between jobs, without access to evidence you will take an assignment based approach, if your work provides a wealth of appropriate evidence you can take an evidence based approach. Many people chose a mixed economy with a blend of evidence and assignments – this means you can tailor the programme to suit your individual learning needs.

You will leave the first one to one meeting with a plan for completing your initial units/modules.

In between meetings you will carry out and submit work, this may be in draft or final format.Your assessor-coach will provide written feedback via the contact diary in the on-line learning centre. Your assessor-coach is also available to provide telephone and e-mail support.

At subsequent one to ones you will plan additional units and modules.
